Smartshield Modular Sandwich System

 The modular sandwich panel system consists of 19 mm thick panels formed from two “skins” of 0.5 mm thick galvanised steel laminated over a wood core. The panels are interconnected using ‘”hat and batten” steel clamping sections which are fitted on site. The fixing screws (on 100 mm centers) are tightened to a pre-set torque figure. This design, in which all the fixings are accessible from within the chamber, thereby meaning that the chamber is constructed from the inside, allows for the chamber to be built up close to existing building walls.

SmartShield Modular Tray System

The tray panels are preformed into “trays” using 2.0 mm thick zinc coated mild steel. The action of the zinc coating is twofold; it provides a finish which is corrosion resistant and protects the steel by a sacrificial action. It also has excellent electrical resistance properties ensuring that contact between the panels and the jointing mechanism is of the  necessary high standard. The panels are bolted together at 100 mm centres with a solid tin plated copper clad steel  gasket between each of the panel joints. This design ensures the highest shielding performance.

SmartShield Welded System

The chamber consists of 2.0mm thick galvanized steel with zinc coated as per IS277 standards.  The GI Sheets are joined by seamless welding technology with the help of MS fabricated structure. Shielding effectiveness of the welded chamber is between 40 dB to 110 dB as per IEEE299 standards.

ii) Convoluted Absorbers – AEC Series

Broadband convoluted absorbers manufactured from lightweight urethane foam impregnated with a dielectric material. The front surface is rippled, providing a good match to the impinging wavefront. The convoluted material has properties desirable for applications requiring high reflectivity performance in conjunction with low forward scattering characteristics.

i) Rubberized Absorbers – PC Series

Treated with our new rubberized coating technology, significantly increasing absorber lifespan and durability, these absorbers are recommended for doorways or high-traffic areas. The rubberized coating, which is applied to the absorber top and sides, is abrasion and puncture resistant.

ii) Walkway Absorbers – AEWW Series

A broadband walkway RF absorber composed of a self-extinguishing polystyrene core placed in an interlocking pattern over a standard AEP type material. This structure is topped with a higher density polystyrene laminate. The AEWW materials offer excellent load bearing and wear characteristics.

iii) Heavy Duty Walkway Absorbers – AEWW HD Series

The Heavy Duty Walkway Absorber will support loads of up to 800 lbs. A high strength, load bearing grid is integrated into the walkway. This grid enables the walkway to support much heavier loads than standard walkways.

iv) Extra Heavy Duty Walkways

The ability of these absorbers to withstand higher loads than most walkway materials is due to a unique construction technique. It is composed of a honeycomb sandwich panel shell over a standard AEP type material allowing it to support up to 2000 lbs.

A broadband, hollow pyramidal shaped absorber. The AEP MPX is made of carbon-loaded polyurethane foam and is light weight due to the hollow construction. This shape and construction allows for excellent impedance matching and minimized reflection. The AEP-36 MPX to AEP-60 MPX absorbers are a conventional pyramid with a square base of uniform thickness, tapered to a point.

This particular absorber part AEP-26-TRN is of the pyramidal variety and has useful performance over the range 80 MHz to 40 GHz. Constructed from a 26” Pyramid, the truncated tip reduces the overall height of the pyramid to 24”.
